Why people love religion so much

Robin Dunbar in that lecture I’ve already mentioned in my previous post also explains religion – it triggers endorphines (as well as laughter and matproduced music+/-dancing). Monkeys get endorphine from grooming (doing which they spend 43% of their time and people spend around 20% of time on social interaction – which leaves humans with smaller amounts of endorphines in blood and we know endorphines rock))). Sidenote: Dunbar says endorphine is basically really close to morphine and the reason morphine addicts don’t want to socially interact is that they get that feeling without the effort of actually interacting.
